On stage, a house appears from nothing. It goes up fast, choreographed like time-lapse photography. Residents move in, move out, get evicted, burn it down, loot it, rent it, remodel it, get married and divorced in it, grow up in it, die in it, haunt it — and all the while, they live among traces of residents present, past, and future.

HOME is a large-scale performance work from the creative geniuses that brought you The Object Lesson, Flesh & Blood, Fish & Fowl, Holoscenes and The Elephant Room. It explores and explodes the relationship between “House” and “Home.” A visual physical spectacle, HOME combines dance, illusion, live music, home-spun engineering, and an inventive use of audience interaction to compose a work that asks, where is home?

PRAISE FOR

Home
"A visual feast and incredible feat of logistics, HOME presents a moving study on the poetics. A delicious piece of dreamlike visual theatre and sleight of mind."
The Independent
"Full of humanity and engages an audience in a way that no movie or traditional play ever can."
Boston Theatre Examiner
"The whole theatre (...) becomes a storybook of magical, homely, absurd and poetic moments. An astonishing Gesamtkunstwerk. HOME is a meditation on the relentless course of our time."
Tina Brambrink, Recklinghaeuser Zeitung
